Chrome Beta

Chrome features before the stable release

Chrome Beta is Google’s preview version of the Chrome browser for Android. It suits people who want to try upcoming browser changes before they reach the standard Chrome app, and who are comfortable with occasional rough edges while those changes are being tested.

What the beta channel is for

The app gives users early access to newer Chrome features and a way to send feedback to Google. That makes it more useful for testers, curious users and people who want to help shape Chrome’s development than for anyone looking only for the most settled browsing experience.

Chrome Beta can be used alongside your existing Chrome for Android installation. You do not have to replace the regular browser to try the preview channel, so it can be kept separate from the version you rely on for everyday browsing.

Rating and reach

Chrome Beta has a 4.38 rating from 583,378 reviews, with an install range of 50,000,000+. That combination gives the score useful context: the rating is supported by a large review pool and broad adoption, rather than being based on a small number of opinions.

Publisher

Google LLC publishes Chrome Beta in the Productivity category. Its purpose is straightforward: provide an Android browser channel for trying Chrome changes early and reporting feedback before those changes are fully settled.
