Wallpapers

Wallpaper selection for Android devices

Wallpapers is Google’s personalization app for browsing and applying images to an Android phone’s home screen and lock screen. It suits users who want a straightforward way to change their device background without searching across separate wallpaper services. The app brings its image collections and personal photos into one place, with previews that help you check how an image will appear before applying it.

What the app offers

• Browse themed collections that include landscapes, satellite imagery and photography from Google and its partners.
• Set different images for the home screen and lock screen when you want each surface to have its own look.
• Choose a category for automatic daily wallpaper changes instead of selecting a new image manually.
• Use images from your own gallery alongside the app’s built-in selections.

Who it is for

This is a good fit for people who prefer a clean, focused wallpaper browser over an app built around editing tools or social features. Its approach is mainly about choosing an image, previewing it and applying it with minimal setup. Users looking for filters, detailed image adjustments or a large community-driven library may need a more specialized personalization app.

Rating and reach

The listing shows a 4.02 rating from 284,978 reviews, alongside 1,000,000,000+ installs. That combination gives the score useful context: it is supported by a substantial volume of feedback and very broad adoption, rather than representing a small group of ratings. Developed by Google LLC, Wallpapers is positioned as a practical Android customization tool with a large established user base.
