YouTube Create

Mobile video editing for YouTube creators

YouTube Create is a mobile video editor for people who want to turn phone footage into content for YouTube. It suits beginners making Shorts as well as regular creators who need a simpler workflow than a full desktop editing suite. The app focuses on trimming clips, arranging a timeline, improving sound and preparing videos for publishing.

Tools for a quicker edit

• Auto-captions: Generate captions without transcribing dialogue manually.
• Audio cleanup: Reduce distracting background noise in recorded footage.
• Music and sound effects: Choose from an in-app library of royalty-free audio assets.
• Beat matching: Align edits with the rhythm of a selected track.
• Cutout effects: Separate a subject from its background without requiring a green screen.

Who it is for

This is a practical choice for creators who work mainly from an Android phone and want common editing tasks in one place. Its feature set is aimed at short-form and general YouTube production rather than advanced post-production. Users looking for detailed keyframe animation or complex multi-layer editing may need a more specialised editor.

What the numbers show

YouTube Create is listed in the Video Players & Editors category and is developed by Google LLC. It has a rating of 3.61 out of 5 from 19,144 reviews, alongside an install range of 5,000,000+. That combination gives the rating useful context: the score comes from a substantial review pool and an established user base, rather than a small number of ratings.
